Smooth 7.35 Treadmill

"Someone referred me to the Smooth Fitness Facebook page when they were having their Fathers Day Sale. At that point I hadn’t done any research about smooth treadmills, but after reading more reviews I was sold. I have to agree with everything I’ve read…easy to set up, very sturdy and well-made—really everything that the gym’s treadmills have, but quieter. Really nothing negative to say!"

"Such a well-made piece of equipment. It’s not easy to find a treadmill when you’re a big guy, especially at a decent price. I was assured by the sales rep that my height and weight wouldn’t be a problem, and they weren’t lying. I’ve used this thing every day since getting it and it’s still in great condition. The other thing I love is that with such a great warranty, I don’t feel like I’m tiptoeing around the machine trying not to break it. I can go all out during my workouts and know that if something breaks, I’m covered. I’d definitely recommend the 7.35. "

"The good: Great warranty. The running surface seems very sturdy and well-made. LED display is easy to read. It stops very quickly when Stop is pressed or the emergency cord is pulled. Very easy to setup, stow and move around- I did it alone. The mat sold on this site fits it perfectly. Handrails are well-placed and the speed and incline adjustment keys on handrails are convenient. The dimensions are great. It's relatively quiet. It included a heart rate monitor chest strap that seems to work well. The bad: Takes awhile time to speed up and slow down. It's unclear what distance the lap display is- it's not a standard 400M track lap or 1k. When speeding up and slowing down the current speed doesn't display, only the ordered speed. It displays calories burned but there's no way to input your weight to get an accurate count. The manual programs can adjust either speed or incline, not both. The fan direction isn't adjustable and not worth it. The MP3 input only accepts USB sticks- why not an iPod type input? Quick input keys leave out some speeds/inclines. Overall: A good treadmill at a good value. Lots of little things could be done to improve it, but it seems to hold up well and be built to last. Worth buying if you can overlook the things I've mentioned."

"My wife ordered this treadmill after looking at so many others. We wanted one that would last for years with constant use. As many others have said, this is a beast of a unit, really well built, of great quality. It runs smooth as glass, no squeaks or groans. The only issue we have had is with the console and its features. First, it has no input for you to program in your weight, so....how can it accurately predict your calorie burn? Second, the "virtual lap" feature does not match the actual distance you are covering. On my 3 mile run, it says I did 7 laps...what is with that? Customer support says they are looking into it, since their test model did the same thing. So far, I have not heard back from them, and it has been over a month. Third, you can't be too close to the console or it won't read your heart rate via the chest strap, you have to stay toward the back of the unit....strange."
